When your purchasing an item or paying for bills what is your preferences? Do you pay by cash, buy and pay for everything online, use checks, or do you pay by card?

Hi, for rent, I have to use checks. All other bills, I pay using a debi card over the phone. All te bills I pay via phone don't have aservice charge. Plus, I find that debit card payments post most quickly. For thins I'm buying online, again, I use my ebit card. I only shop at secure sites, and check my balance regularly. I hate having to wait for a check to post. By that time, I've forgotten I mad ethe payment. Debit cards are more blind friendly. Everyone's confort level is different though.

I use money orders for my rent. That way it posts out of my bank balance immediately, and I trust people at the bank to help me fill it out. All other bills I pay online or over the phone with my debet card. Another poster was right, debet card transactions post the fastest, so you always have a good idea where your balance is. Same goes with things I purchase. I use my debet card for that, too, whether it's in a store or online. I rarely used checks, only when I have to, because I need help filling them out, and they take the longest to clear.

Most the time debit card. I like to online shop or occasionally, I'll place my order over the phone.

I've just got into paying bills via my bank's online bill pay. I love it; it's brilliant and easy!

I pretty much use my card for everything. I have to pay my rent with a check, which I have my bank send.

credit cards for large purchases, then pay back from bank account, as with credit cards, you have more protections here in the UK if things go wrong than if you use a debit card. debit cards for food etc, and cash for food also, if i have it.

I pay for things like rent, cable, and dry cleaning using checks. This is easily done through my bank's website. I pay for everything else with a card, and use cash as a last resort.

If buying online will allowed here particularly on buying groceries, I prefer to do it online. Because it will give more independence to me. I know after few years, it will happen here because you can now order food online here.

I pay by cash when I go shopping for things like food or when I am not spending a lot. If I buy something online though I like to use my debit card because it comes straight out of the bank and it's quicker than cheques or postal orders. I did have to use a cheque though when I got my disabled person's rail card, but my writing is apparently got loads better over the last year or two so they were able to read it.
